“Go up to the hills and bring wood and build the house, that I may take pleasure in it and that I may be glorified, says the Lord.”
Haggai 1:8 ESV
Dear Lord God, we do feel the stirring within our spirit. Once again, You are reminding us to build Your house, not by our might nor by power, but by Your Spirit. Free us from all that has distracted us. We turn back to You.
Lord God, You are in our going up to the hills, You are in our bringing the wood, and You are in the building work as the Architect and Master Builder. You are also the Foundation, the gold and precious building materials, and the Chief Cornerstone. What do we have to give except what You have given first to us. It is ours to say, “Amen.” It is ours to say, “here are we.”It is ours to say, “Lord, build in us.”
May You take pleasure in it.
May You be glorified.
In Jesus’ name.
