““Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭9‬

Lord God, do help us these days to pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another. We confess our tendencies to put ourselves first and so miss opportunities for Your life to be expressed through us. So Lord, help us not to retreat from situations that need Your presence. Give us grace to bring You into conflict so Your peace can rule and overrule. Without You, there is no peace. And wherever You are, Your righteous rule ushers in peace that passes understanding, peace that the world cannot give. The world is capable of temporary peace, or ceasefire at best. But the peace You give is abiding. For only in You, can we all be satisfied. So be the peacemaker in us all. For that is the evidence of the  Son’s life in resurrection in Your people here on earth. We are sons!
